Minutes from AGSC meeting October 13, 2008 Opening:The regular meeting of the AGSC was called to order at 5:00 on October 13, 2008 in ANTH 220 by Shanna Cox, President. Approval of AgendaThe agenda was unanimously approved as distributed. B. Approval of MinutesSeptember 8 Minutes unanimously approved, with correction of error: Wyoming Contributions to Archaeology is actually Wyoming Contributions to Anthropology. C. Old Business1. Officers approved until elections. Chris motion; Dora second. 2. Plains Conference Review. Student Completion Winner: Jeremy. Follow up books Dora would like to have silent auction. All agreed the gifts were great thank Dora. 3. Web site review: Christy D. New BusinessJoe Faculty Rep: DVD Purchases; Academic Honesty Review; Student Travel Funds, RSO Orientation: Shanna and Patrick $500 for conference fees; funds available for speakers and activities; advertising free (poster and Branding Iron); Speaker contract details; catering discounts. WAA meeting Katie WAA representative: Joe Motion; Pat Second. Bank Account: Review types of account: U WYO Credit Union or 1st Interstate Dora to get Tax ID # - Motion seconded by Joe for the UWYO - Credit Union no objections. Christy: Web Update. Review WAA update; use Department 4 fields logo, no other suggestions were made. Meg update on WCA: Review Board; Funding sources: WAS? WAPA? Need long term support; volunteers needed for design, etc; $1200 to publish; papers went out Wednesday to review, next review January. Tabled discussion of activities
