Feb. 3, 2010 -- Pronghorn Passage, a multimedia presentation documenting the annual 300-mile migration of pronghorn antelope across western Wyoming, will be shown Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. in Room 310 of the University of Wyoming Classroom Building. Admission is free. Pronghorn Passage is a collaborative project between wildlife photographer Joe Riis and environmental writer Emilene Ostlind, who received funding research funding from the Haub School Creative Activities and Research Grant. As students in the School of Environment and natural resources, over a two-year span they traveled the migration corridor of the Teton pronghorn herd to capture this unique journey in pictures and words. The presentation will include maps, video clips and still photographs collected during the project. "While biologists and local residents have known about this migration for years, no one has documented it as intimately as Joe and Emilene," says Daniel McCoy, UW Outdoor Program director. The UW Campus Recreation Outdoor Program sponsor's Wednesday's program. For more information contact McCoy at (307) 766-6488 or dmccoy@uwyo.edu. Photo: Posted on Wednesday, February 03, 2010
